I couldn't think of a better way to start a vegan blog than to post about my favorite vegan smoothie. Although this space will feature almost everything vegan, food is always a good place to start. So let's make a toast to Veganism with this 100% vegan strawberry smoothie that tastes better than it looks (if that's possible ;) ).
- Silk Vanilla Soy Milk (My awesome vegan friend Ashley Fruno introduced me to this some time back, and I'm hooked!)
- Raw Sugar- It's vegan and is definitely WAY healthier than regular processed sugar. (Refined sugar is processed with animal bone char. It is not 'in' the sugar per se, but used more as a filter)
- Fresh strawberries of course! :)
Just put all the ingredients in a high power blender (preferably one that can crush ice) and give it a quick whirl. And voila! You've got yourself a deliciously creamy, crunchy smoothie, bursting with the goodness of fresh fruit and natural soy!
